OUR HISTORY

FOUNDER

CHAD VEST

Over 25 years ago, Chad Vest founded Paramount Painting.

Chad was a remarkable man. To us, he was not just a friend, a mentor, or a family member; he was a constant source of inspiration and a beacon of light in our lives.

Chad was a true blessing in every sense of the word. His innate desire to help others and bring joy to their lives was a defining quality. Whether it was a kind gesture, a lending hand, or simply a heartfelt word of encouragement, Chad had an incredible ability to uplift those around him. His generous spirit left an indelible mark on our hearts, and his legacy of kindness will forever guide our actions.

Chad was not one to sit idle; he epitomized hard work and perseverance. His unwavering determination pushed us to exceed our own expectations. He saw potential in all of us, and his unwavering belief in our abilities drove us to be better and to strive for greatness. Chad's dedication to excellence was a living testament to his character.

What set Chad apart was his infectious sense of humor. He had a unique gift for finding joy in life's everyday mishaps and, most importantly, in laughing at his own mistakes. Being mad about things really doesn't help the situation at all. Being able to laugh at your mistakes and learn from them and move forward is such a wonderful way of looking at life, and Chad modeled that.

Above all, Chad's love for his family was boundless. His devotion was a shining example of what it meant to be a loving spouse, parent, and friend. His family was the center of his universe, and his love for them radiated through every word, every action, and every smile. He showed us the profound importance of cherishing those closest to us.

Moving forward with the legacy Chad left behind, we will remember what he taught us. Our commitment is to strive to run Paramount Painting with the same level of excellence that was Chad's defining principle.

OWNER

MATTHEW ROBERTS

My journey with Paramount Painting began around 10 years ago. As a transplant from North Carolina to northern Michigan, Chad Vest took a chance on me. He took me under his wing and made time to teach me his trade.

Over the years, I was able to learn every part of the painting business through both trial and error, and through the persistent and patience of Chad. As the years rolled on, I found myself taking on more and more of the responsibility for Paramount, as Chad's physical struggles began to limit his ability to manage the business.

Over the last few years my management role has solidified, and after Chad's passing I formally acquired ownership of Paramount Painting. It is the honor of my life to continue providing the great community of Northern Michigan with quality services for years to come.
